Die Reihe Viewing Copy zeigt insgesamt zehn Video- und Filmarbeiten im neugestalteten KinoKiosk. Aufgeteilt in mehrere Slots läuft die Reihe im März 2023 an und schließt im Mai 2024 mit dem siebten und letzten Slot. Der Reihe ging ein Open Call mit insgesamt 361 Einsendungen voraus. Die Jury bestand aus carrick bell, Helen-Sophie Mayr, Johanna Janßen und Sarnt Utamachote.

Die ausgewählten Arbeiten setzen sich auf unterschiedliche Weise mit der Vielfalt und den Ambivalenzen von Intimität auseinander. Gelebte, gefühlte, und performte Intimität mit sich selbst, mit Fremdem und Vertrautem erhält Einzug in den KinoKiosk. Im sechsten Slot wird die Arbeit „Affective Dynamics Study Group“ von Dylan Spencer-Davidson im KinoKiosk zu sehen sein. Sie erkundet unterschiedliche Nuancen von Intimität in zwischenmenschlichen Beziehungen.

Das ehemalige Stationszimmer im Erdgeschoss des Bethaniens erhält ein neues Raumkonzept vom Architektenduo Cainelliklaska, welches flexibel auf die unterschiedlichen Präsentationsformen der künstlerischen Arbeiten reagiert.

The Viewing Copy series shows a total of ten video and film works within the redesigned KinoKiosk. Divided into several slots, the series will begin in March 2023 and conclude in May 2024 with the seventh and final slot. The series was preceded by an open call with a total of 361 submissions. The jury consisted of carrick bell, Helen-Sophie Mayr, Johanna Janßen and Sarnt Utamachote.

The selected works deal with the diversity and ambivalences of intimacy in different ways. Lived, experienced, and performed intimacy with oneself, with the alien as well as with the known finds its way into the KinoKiosk. In the sixth slot, the work “Affective Dynamics Study Group” by Dylan Spencer-Davidson will be presented at KinoKiosk, exploring nuanced shifts of intimacy within interpersonal relations.

The former nurses‘ station room on the first floor of the Bethanien building will be given a new spatial concept by the architect duo Cainelliklaska, which responds flexibly to the various forms of presentation of the artistic works.
